Bicycle Tours, Inc. (ABT), as its name indicates, was formed
to promote bicycle touring in the Adirondack Region of New
York State. Our principal goal is to take people on road
bike rides in the Southern Adirondack Region. Our home base
is in Lake George and we have rides of varying length,
difficulty and duration in Warren, Washington, Saratoga,
Essex and Hamilton Counties. Our focus is on recreational
riding and fun touring --- our bicycle tours are generally
low-key, at a reasonable pace with time to talk while we
ride.
While bicycling
is obviously our main activity, our tours are intentionally
short enough to allow and encourage pursuit of other
recreational and social activities in the area. From
swimming in Lake George to whitewater rafting on the Hudson
River to theater in downtown Glens Falls to historic tours
of Fort William Henry, Fort Ticonderoga, Rogers Island and
Saratoga Battlefield, the area abounds with numerous
recreational and cultural opportunities, all of which are
easily accessed from any of our accommodations facilities.
ABT is also
working with others to promote competitive bicycle racing
events in the Lake George/Glens Falls area. However, ABT’s
primary focus is to bring high-quality recreational
bicycling opportunities to riders who have not yet been
fortunate enough to experience the wonders of the Adirondack
Region. Our goal is to expose our guests to beautiful bike
rides in our rural area and enable you to take a break from
any urban tensions in your life.
